The Heroine’s/Hero’s Journey—A Call for Transformation? Transformative Learning, Archetypal Patterns, and Embodied Knowing/Learning

This article explores the phenomena of personal transformation within frame a self-experiential workshop, named Heroine/Hero’s Journey. The Heroine/Hero is archetype who sets out on an adventurous journey, in pursuit her or his call for transformation. Rebillot based Campbell’s (1949) mythological work, Hero with Thousand Faces created experiential approach form one-week which utilizes methods from theatre and Gestalt therapy. phenomenologically oriented vignette research draws interviews co-experienced observations, were conducted during workshop order to explore participants’ experiences content embodied representation personality patterns, conscious unconscious especially confrontation these transformative participants. depth psychological understanding processes, highlighting potential archetypal ways knowing, provides theoretical giving meaning experiences.
